Historica!

(Left to right: Suki, Jordyn, Sarah, Erin...all good friends)

For the past several months I have been working on Historica. Kinda like Science Fair but with some history. I have always found Science Fair to be tough because we are expected to come up with something 'new and exciting'!! Historica has us look at the past to see where we're going.

I did my project on my Great-Grandfather, Harry Stewart, who worked on the Kettle Valley Railway. It was so fun for our whole family.

I was chosen as a delegate from my school (Abbotsford Traditional Middle School) to represent at the Regional Fair. We competed on May 3rd and 4th at the University in Abbotsford.
I won the people's choice award and we all have to wait until May 11th to find out who's going to the National Fair in Lethbridge.

On Friday, we spent the day in workshops and doing tours of UCFV. The first and last ones were really exciting, the first was hunt and seek fact finding about projects in the fair and the last one was a scavenger hunt around UCFV. I didn't really learn alot extra but got to spend time with friends and away from school!!
